Avant Premiere ‘V.II’ – Short Film
I believe this is the right time to reactivate my blog, the one I’ve been neglecting so lo long. I know, it’s wrong and I’m sorry.
Today, April 14th is the Avant Premiere of ‘V.II’, the short film I’ve been working on since last June. For those still unaware, I’ve been in charge of the entire audio post-production and composing the original score.
It was a long, exhausting and nerve-wrecking job, but highly rewarding, in the end.
We meant, right from the beginning, to provide the sound quality a production of this magnitude deserved. It is a known fact that most argentinian flicks have high quality image, but the soud is sub-par. Knowing how audio is treated in foreign films, I tried to emulate those conditions in here, which was almost unheard of and required a whole different approach. Luckily, our workgroup was awesome and they encouraged my wacky ideas the entire time.

Plot Outline: Sofía, Lazaro and Pia decide to overcome their family differences spending a weekend out in the fields, but their peace and quiet are disturbed by the appearance of a young woman in distress and a strange book. Drawn by this situation, they all become victims of a mysterious danger lurking upon them and they’ll fight to survive, exposing their shaky human morality.
